Through the slow point-and-touch gameplay and experimental nature of the game might not suit everyone, its totally worth it. The music, visuals, and writing come together to form a great experience that you wont find anywhere else. A masterpiece of mobile gaming.

In just my first session I could feel my heart pumping out often chest. Wow!

Thoughtfully made, engages you quickly. Feels like actions are weighted and meaningful. Sound FX are excellent as is music. Stylish.

Very stylized, good soundtrack, I got a lot of smiles out of the humor. What more do you want from an indie game? First picked this up in a Humble Bundle, but grabbed it here when I saw it was ported to, not from, PC. Glad I did

I wouldnt exactly call this a game. Its more of a journey. A wonderfully strange and engrossing adventure, with perfectly-suited music, quirky dialogue, mysterious symbolism, and simply beautiful pixel-art. This "game" has resounded within me, and I dont think Ill ever forget it. I highly recommend you download this, and stick with it to the end. You wont regret it!

Best iOS game I have played in a while

Took me back to the feelings I got when playing Zelda for the first time. Get your best set of headphones for this! Best game on the iPhone.

My favourite thing about this game is, the music, no, the gameplay, no the pixel graphics... I LOVE it all!

I had already purchased this game for the PC and had fallen in awe of the beauty and sense of humour the game held. The soundtrack is constantly on repeat from my iPhone. Jim Gutherie, you are a god! I decided that I wanted a portable rendition of the game and was not disappointed. Recommended this game and spread the word to all your friends. It deserves the respect and worship of the industry.

Super brothers Sword and Sworcery, is a gentle, rhythmic game, focusing heavily on soundtrack, an excellent, relaxing experience.

I dont like playing this game, because you always have to retrace your steps, indefinitely, on the same area, with the same few visual elements, trees, fountains, stairs... Puzzles are not so interesting, combats are weird with unresponsive controls... I think the art design is nice, sound effects are excellent, and music is good. But the gameplay is terrible... Most of the time you double tap to walk, or you wait for the slow animations to end, to finally have some action! Even with solutions, I found this game boring and laborious...

The tedious backtracking keeps it from a full five. Highly recommended nevertheless.

EDIT: 1.07 I havent played the 1.07 update or looked at the Japanese, but the localisation was done by 8-4 Play. This is a must have game though. The 8 bit graphics are gorgeous and the story engaging. The gameplay is simple but still very fun. A puzzle based adventure game. ORIGINAL REVIEW This game is a true work of gaming art. From the 8 bit graphics, to the music, to the gameplay mechanics, to the story. It really is the complete package. A fantastic game for all, where some puzzles are challenging there is always the Megatome for cryptic hints, along with mushrooms for more graphical hints. After playing through this (with out getting any external help) I felt like I had really achieved something. The story telling is also very unique in breaking hrough the forth wall occasionally. If you are looking for a one word summary of the game: crafted!

We thought that it could be nice if the settings button actually responded to our pushes but it was sound asleep with no intention to wake up

The game is just incredible! It is hard to describe that game so download this and feel it. The soundtrack is amazing:)
